Switzerland | Daniela

Hello everyone!

It's been A LONG time since I post something here but well school got in the way and I must say I am kind of shy and insecure about posting more, putting myself out there is kind of hard (I know I only have one post) but I'll try to post more often. So without rambling so much...

This second blog post is going to be about my trip to Switzerland, I mentioned before that this year I was going to do some traveling and a few weeks ago I went on holiday for 2 weeks with my cousin and stayed at my other cousin's house. This is the first time I'm out of my country and I had the best time of my life!!

The city I stayed in was Basel (Basel-City), the second most populated city in Switzerland. It is really beautiful and it's completely different from here. I was surprised that the food was actually good (Peru has the best cuisine and it's tough competition!) although it is very different, I liked it a lot. In this blog post I'll only talk about some of the cities I've visited and the rest I'll do them later. I was so lucky that I got to visit the four regions of the country: the French one, the German one, the Italian and the Romansh one. So I'll do the German part first because I stayed here most of the time.

I visited Bern, Lucern, Zurich and of course Basel. I'll give you a quick tour with some pictures! Hope you like it!

Down town Basel, here we have the mayor's house, it's the red one with the flags.
Another picture of the down town Basel, so beautiful.

Elephants everywhere... hahaha this is the zoo, I think it is the one of the best in Europe.
Gorgeous fireworks for the 1st of August, Switzerland's anniversary. 20 minutes of pure joy.
Bern, the capital of Switzerland, the buildings are so cool!
Panoramic view of the governors palace, down town.
I think these are called "Macaroons"and these they're originally from Zurich from this cute store/restaurant. Delicious.
Basel vs Zurich, unfortunately with Zurich as guests we couldn't make it and lost 2-1 :( This was my first time ever in a soccer game and I had a great time :)
Last but not least, we have Lucern with the oldest wooden bridge. Too bad it was a rainy day :/

So guys this is it for this blog post, hope you enjoyed it and I'll post about the other cities later on. Please let me know what you think about it by writing a comment!, It helps me a lot to improve. And this blog is in English (as you can see haha) but if by chance any of you want to read it in Spanish, with all the pleasure in the world I'll make a Spanish version of it :)

Thank you so much if you are reading!

Love,
Daniela ♥
